Summer is the time to explore South Tyrol with all your senses. Whether in the Dolomites, the Ortler region, at Kronplatz, or on the Waalwege paths – hiking and cycling are guaranteed to be rewarding at all altitudes. Of course, you are also welcome to hike to Alpine pastures and huts or go shopping in the city. And after the day’s programme, it’s the balmy summer evenings filled with South Tyrolean wines and good food that create unforgettable memories. When the days are no longer so hot and the evenings are not too cold, South Tyrol’s favourite culinary season begins. In Eisacktal, in Meran, and in many other parts of South Tyrol, the “Törggelen” season is celebrated. The fruits of summer are harvested in the valleys, and speciality weeks and culinary festivals take place all over the province. And during pleasant autumn excursions, the most magnificent views of the year await.

The ski resorts come to life, the idyllic landscape shows its best side during snowshoe hikes, and perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails wind through forests, meadows, and valleys. The Christmas markets come alive with the colourful hustle and bustle of locals and travellers, and the mountain huts offer delicious culinary delights.
