Kalterer lake
Kalterer lake is surrounded by orchards and vineyards. It is not only the largest bathing lake in South Tyrol but also the warmest bathing lake in the Alpine region and invites you to swim, sail, windsurf, and sunbathe from May to September. A total of four swimming areas and a surfing school are located at the lake.

Reschen lake
The Reschen lake is 6.6km long and boasts an intriguing landmark: the “sunken” church tower. The lake is located in the very west of South Tyrol. The shore is ideal for walks and cycling; meanwhile, kite surfers have a blast on the lake. A special experience is a boat trip where the captain tells stories about the sunken villages. And in winter, head either to the Schöneben ski area on the western shore or go ice sailing and kite surfing on the lake.

Pragser Wildsee lake
Arguably the most famous lake in South Tyrol lies at almost 1,500m above sea level. And it is much more than just a spot to take photos: In summer, the “pearl of the Dolomite lakes” shimmers in all imaginable shades of green and blue and nostalgic rowing boats can be hired. A tour around the lake is an absolute must. In winter, the lake is covered with a thick layer of ice and snow and serves as a popular starting point for ski tours, snowshoeing, and winter hikes in the unique mountain scenery of the Prags Dolomites.
